This unique 3-day workshop and residency offers participants a chance to learn and create artwork with Master printmaker Dan Welden. In the morning, Dan will guide participants through an exploration of monoprinting, in combination with a variety of drawing techniques and the use of solarplates. Learn how to handle pigments with a variety of art media and mark-making tools.
After lunch, participants will have the opportunity to do their own work and work side-by-side with Dan. Use the time to explore the creative possibilities of the process.
The Hailey classroom has a printing press, and will be equipped with inks, paper, and other art making materials and cleaning supplies. Solarplates will be available to purchase from Dan at the workshop. Upon registration, participants will be provided with a list of personal supplies that they might want to bring with them.
