“The President’s Own” comes to the University of Miami campus for a rare and distinguished performance.** As the nation’s oldest professional musical organization, founded in 1798, the United States Marine Band has performed for every U.S. president since Thomas Jefferson and remains one of America’s most distinguished ensembles.
In this special appearance, the Marine Band brings together tradition and artistry in a program that spans patriotic works, orchestral transcriptions, and contemporary repertoire—each performance reflecting a legacy of precision, versatility, and musical excellence that has defined the ensemble for generations.
Paired with an educational engagement with Frost students, this visit offers the Frost School of Music a unique opportunity for connection, mentorship, and artistic exchange between one of the country’s most storied ensembles and the next generation of performers.
For South Florida audiences, this is a rare chance to experience that legacy firsthand, an evening that is both powerful and inspiring, and a highlight of the Frost Music Live season.
