Watercolor Wonder: Creating Vibrant and Expressive Color, Texture and Spirit!

This is a class about the joy, passion, and wonder of watercolors! There are many different creative and FUN techniques that lend themselves to landscape painting as well as to figurative art, still lives, botanicals and abstracts. Allowing paint to interact and move with water and other elements provides fascinating textures and spontaneous effects. Each week will be an exploration of a few exciting methods where the spirit of experimentation and freedom are encouraged and helpful techniques for creating vivid skies of all kinds, foliage, mountains and water will be demonstrated. The flow of water and paint has endless possibilities and brings the magic and beauty of the unknown and the inner creative giant to an exuberant new life, in this shared exploration of the Waterworld and the spirit and wonder inherent in this unique medium. For continuing students: a chance to experiment and explore additional techniques, with guidance on your individual projects! For new students: no prior painting experience needed and we will work from landscape photos provided by the Instructor – come and enjoy the vibrancy of light and color during winter time with a very encouraging teacher!

Please do not purchase this insurance for Education programming. If you need to withdraw from a Summer Stages and Studios program, please contact education@mosesianarts.org. Refunds between January 7 and April 1 are subject to a $50 admin fee. If a refund is requested between April 1 and June 1, we are only able to refund 50% of the tuition paid. After June 1, refunds will only be issued if the space is filled by someone from the waitlist.
