An evening with Lucinda Dickens Hawksley, and very special guests including:

The best-selling author and great-granddaughter of Charles Dickens honors his 200th birthday with love for The Rockaways. Lucinda Dickens Hawksley will give an enchanting talk on how the magical classic "A Christmas Carol" was written. She will conduct a lively Q&A with the audience, share stories, and join in song at the intimate Theatre 80.

With Lucinda's love for NYC and heartfelt support for the residents of The Rockaways that were devastated by Superstorm Sandy, this fundraiser is all-embracing, including a personal meet and greet, and a signing of her new bestselling book, "Charles Dickens: The Dickens Bicentenary 1812-2012."

Proceeds will benefit relief and rebuilding efforts in The Rockaways devastated by Superstorm Sandy.

JAMES BRALY is the writer and performer of the monologue Life in a Marital Institution, Reviewed as “gaspingly funny” (Variety), “never less than excellent” (The New York Times), Optioned for film & television by Meredith Vieira Productions.

DANA McCOY's songs have topped charts worldwide, her CD, "Taking Shape" was a Billboard Top 10 Album of the Year. Dana's performed her plays "Prom Queens" and "Cube Rat" Off-broadway and at Edinburgh Fringe, is now headed out on tour with NY Fringe Outstanding Musical "MoM"

ALPHIE McCOURT is the youngest of the four McCourt brothers and the third—after Frank and Malachy—to pen a memoir about his life in Ireland and the U.S. His work has appeared in the Washington Post, The Villager (New York), The Irish Times and more. His “Christmas Trilogy” is now available on iTunes.

JILL SANTORIELLO's Broadway musical adaptation of Dickens' A Tale of Two Cities was nominated for two Outer Critics Circle Awards; Outstanding New Musical and Best Actor. The play also received three Drama Desk Award nominations.

THE CANBY SINGERS have championed a vast range of lesser-known choral music, from medieval song through new commissions by contemporary composers since their founding in 1957. The Canby Singers perform several concerts a year in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and the greater NYC area.

IMPACT REPERTORY THEATRE, founded in 1997, Nile Rogers is a member of their board of directors and they've performed at the Oscars. IMPACT promotes the healthy development of young people ages 12 to 19 by offering arts and leadership workshops, performance opportunities and promoting community service.
