At age seven, Canadian pianist Anastasia Rizikov made her orchestral debut performing Polunin's Concertino in A minor with the National Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine, conducted by Mykola Diadiura. Now 14, Anastasia is already showing signs of being “one to watch”.  She is currently performing numerous solo concerts in major US and Canadian cities. In 2013, Anastasia had her 2,5 week long Debut Atlantic concert tour along Canada’s Atlantic coast. Same year, she played Liszt Piano Concerto No. 1 in E-flat Major twice with International Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Douglas A. Bianchi in Sarnia, Ontario and in Port Huron, Michigan; Ravel Piano Concerto in G Major with Michigan Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Nan Washburn in Plymouth, Michigan; and made her debut with Toronto Symphony Orchestra - Rachmaninoff - Paganini Variation #18, conducted by Shalom Bard in Roy Thomson Hall, Toronto. In 2012, she performed Chopin Piano Concerto No. 2 in F Minor with Sinfonia Toronto conducted by Berislav Skenderovic in Glenn Gould Studio, Toronto. Also, in 2012, she gave two performances of Grieg’s Piano Concerto in A Minor: one with National Academy Orchestra of Canada conducted by Boris Brott in Burlington, Ontario and the other with Baleares Symphony Orchestra conducted by Salvador Brotons in Palma de Mallorca, Spain. Before that, in 2011, there were two performances of Kabalevsky’s Piano Concerto No. 3 with the International Symphony Orchestra conducted by Robert Debbaut in Sarnia, Ontario, and in Port Huron, Michigan. In 2010, Anastasia performed as guest soloist with the Plymouth Symphony Orchestra in Michigan conducted by Nan Washburn, in performances of Chopin’s Piano Concerto No. 2 in F Minor.

Anastasia won first place in all the following international competitions: the Rotary International Piano Competition (Senior Division up to 28 years old) in Palma de Mallorca, Spain (May, 2011); the Thousand Islands International Piano Competition for Young People (Cape Vincent, USA, 2010); the Bradshaw & Buono International Piano Competition (2009), which lead to a Carnegie Hall debut; and the Vladimir Horowitz International Young Pianists Competition in Ukraine (2006), among others. Nationally, Anastasia won first place in both the Canadian Chopin Competition (2010), leading to an appearance at a gala winners’ concert at Koerner Hall in Toronto;  and the Canadian Music Competition (2007).

Anastasia is adept at giving interviews in English, Russian, and Ukrainian, newspapers, radio or television.  She studies with award-winning Master of Music Maia Spis, teacher at the Nadia Music Academy in Toronto.  She has played in master classes for Sergei Babayan (Artist-in-Residence at the Cleveland Institute of Music), Anatoly Ryabov (Professor at the Conservatory of Moscow), Oxana Yablonskaya (Professor at the Juilliard School of Music), and has worked with Olga Kern (winner of the 2001 Van Cliburn International Piano Competition).  Since age five, Anastasia spends rare moments away from the piano.  She loves reading, animals, shopping, and treasures her friendships.
