ENTERSHAMEMENT Making fun of the monster in the mirror. http://www.amy-g.com Created and performed by Amy Gordon Directed by John-Stuart Fauquet In a daredevil variety cabaret, the masterful entertainer Amy G deconstructs before your eyes, and then rebuilds beauty from the inside out. This show is slapstick Diva heaven, full of ridiculous song-and-dance numbers, roller-skates, a live chicken, and genuine human frailty. She gleefully defies shame and categorization. Amy G(ordon) is a revolutionary cabaret comedian. From vaudeville stock, classical training, and an endless international tour circuit, Amy G is the stage wonder that you'll be surprised you've never heard of. Her unique style of physical, musical, stand-up and improvisational comedy is inspired by and reminiscent of Carol Burnett, Liza Minelli, Buster Keaton, Julie Andrews and the Muppet Show; but she is very much one of a kind, a masterful entertainer. Credits include her own shows at Broadway's New Victory (Writer/Asst. Director/Lead in AntiGravity's Crash Test Dummies, and Daredevil Opera Company's Cirkus Inferno), Sydney Opera House, The Kennedy Center, Adelaide International Festival, Festival International de Teatro de Bogota, Montreal's Just For Laughs, Taipei Arts Festival, Dance Theatre Workshop, and Symphony Space. She works regularly as the MC/Singer for Palazzo Variete (Amsterdam, Berlin, Vienna), Ohlala (Zurich), Quatch Comedy Club (Berlin), GOP Variete (Germany) and has made numerous appearances on British , French, and German TV. She's been featured around the world with the Olivier Awarded circus cabaret, La Soire aka La Clique / Absinthe (NYC 2006 season) – including long runs on London's West End, Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide and Stockholm Int'l Festivals, and in Paris' iconic Bobino.
