A famous writer obsessed with reputation fakes his death in order to read his obituaries. His psychiatrist knows what's going on, but can't tell anyone, not even the writer's wife. But soon she's on his trail anyway, as his 'death' ignites a train of outrageous events.

Ego was written by Carl Djerassi, a man whose achievements in both science and literature over the course of his 90-year life are prolific. In recent years he's turned to fiction and the theatre, with a series of novels and three science-in-theatre plays, An Immaculate Misconception, Oxygen (co-written with Roald Hoffman), and Calculus.

Purchase Carl Djerassi's books, "Carl Djerassi In Retrospect" and "Chemistry in Theatre" HERE.

Carl Djerassi is scheduled to be on hand to sign books at performances of Ego and Insufficiency from October 17th to October 26th.

EGO runs 90 minutes without an intermission.
