Imaginary Radio Program (Drennon Davis & DJ Real) meets Nato Green
Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at 8:00PM
Z Space
450 Florida Street
San Francisco,
CA
94110
Inside the head of San Francisco comic Drennon Davis lives an imaginary radio full of sexually-charged funk songs and Morrissey impressions. The festival favorite Imaginary Radio Program combines live-looped songs with sketch comedy featuring DJ Real. Z Space presents a unique double-bill of the Imaginary Radio Program and stand up comedian Nato Green. Also featuring Jane Harrison and special guests.
From his elaborate characters and sketches, to his provocative songs and animation, DRENNON DAVIS has made a name for himself as one of the most innovative minds in today’s comedy scene. His live performances of the festival favorite, The Imaginary Radio Program combine live music and beat-boxing with one-man sketches into a show that the Los Angeles Comedy Bureau writes "not only lives up to its name, but exceeds expectation in what you could possibly think it is."
Nick Stargu is a musician, comedian, and writer who is best know for his musical comedy act, DJ REAL, which has been featured in the San Francisco Sketch Festival, the Bridgetown Comedy Festival, the San Francisco Comedy Competition, and more. And he’s opened for Devo!
NATO GREEN was summed up more or less accurately by The East Bay Express as, “erudite and acerbic, a San Francisco-raised father, union organizer, gastronome, bibliophile, and political sparkplug.” He performs on Fridays at the legendary alternative comedy show at Hemlock Tavern, The Business. His podcast The Nato Sessions is produced by 3200 Stories. His first comedy album, The Nato Green Party, was released by Rooftop Comedy. Nato has been named San Francisco's Best Comedian by the SF Weekly, Huffington Post, and CBS.
Jane Harrison is a writer and comedian from Atlanta. She hasn't told you that she's from Atlanta yet? Well she will and she is. As a millennial, she is deeply inspired by her own 23 years of living experience and the hardships she's faced as a middle class white woman. Her comedy explores topics including poop and how truly beautiful and mysterious human relationships can be. She's been called a wunderkid, by her mother, who supports her but really would prefer she not tell jokes that include family secrets. Laughspin once called her "a comedian."
Tickets are $8.00 in advance, and $12.00 at the door.
