Fuzjko Hemming

A native of Berlin, Fuzjko is the daughter of Swedish architect and painter father, and Japanese pianist mother. By age ten, Fuzjko began playing piano with her mother, and at that time Fuzjko started working with Leonid Kreutzer, a highly influential piano teacher. Leonid predicted Fuzjko’s success when he stated she will be “an internationally-acclaimed pianist even at such an early stage.” Fuzjko proved his statement to be true as she continued playing piano and attended Tokyo University of the Arts to further her skills and passion.
Fuzjko graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts and received several awards from Radio and TV in Japan. Then, she passed first on the list for Berlin University of the Arts and worked with Paul Badura-Skoda in Vienna. Fuzjko continued performing piano and was recognized from several international well-known classical authorities such as Bruno Maderna, Leonard-Bernstein, Cherkausky, and N. Magaloff. Fuzjko’s world of piano playing came to a sudden stop when she accidentally lost audibility.
In 1999, a recital and a program of her document in Japan caused repercussions, as she released her first debut CD “Miraculous La campanella.” There were over two million copies of exceptional sales in the classic field, and Fuzjko received the Japan Gold Disc Award and Album of the Year Award for four times, a feat that has never been achieved by any other artist. Recently in 2014, she performed at 11 venues in 9 counties in Europe during September and November and received a standing ovation and won great popularity.
Fuzjko has performed numerous solo recitals all over the world, invited by many music festivals, and collaborated with international orchestra, such as Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, and many others. As one of her fellow musicians, Mischa Maisky credited her by saying, “I deeply appreciate her artistry.” It is true that many artists whom have collaborated with her feel the same.
Lastly, Fuzjko is a strong zoophilist, and there is an institution of humane society named Fuzjko in Germany. She has held many charity concerts for animals and dedicated her life for them.
