Inspired by true stories told to her by many of her family members and friends who attended the Indian Boarding schools. Filmmaker Georgina Lightning, a long time advocate of Native Indian advancement in the film industry, she co-founded Tribal Alliance Productions, a company committed to producing media that matters, told from a native prospective. Lightning also formed Native Media Network, a group dedicated to the promotion and advancement of Native Indian talent. She is currently working on post production for her new film with the Robert Redford Story Initiative at Santa Fe Art and Design University. Q & A with the filmmaker followed by a Reception.
