On Tuesday, May 19, 16-time Grammy Award® winning musician and composer Sting will bring The Last Ship, named Best Musical of 2014 by USA Today, back to New York City for one-night-only when he performs songs from his Tony Award®-nominated score in a uniquely intimate venue, The Heath at The McKittrick Hotel, home of Sleep No More. Proceeds from this concert event will benefit The Actors Fund.

Sting will perform two shows joined by special guest Jimmy Nail, as well as band members from The Last Ship’s original Broadway orchestra including 2015 Tony Award® nominee for Best Orchestrations, Rob Mathes (Musical Director, Piano), Joe Bonadio (Percussion), Chris Layer (Wind Instruments), Mick McAuley (Accordian), Paul Woodiel (Fiddle), and Pete Donovan (Bass), with Jo Lawry on vocals.

The New York Times said the musical boasts “a seductive beauty of a score,” and Time Out New York called it, “a magnificent and rollicking new musical,” adding, “Sting's score is a genuine revelation.” The Associated Press heralded The Last Ship as "thrilling with powerful performances, outstanding songs, and real heart.”
