In Bodhrán III, we will continue what we’ve learned in our accompaniment of jigs and reels, focused first on increasing our overall speed. We will also continue to develop our ornamentation from Bodhran II by moving triplets around within the basic jig and reel rhythms, to better accompany the melodies of different tunes. With our increased jig rhythm speed, we will branch into playing hornpipes, covering two different techniques. We will also touch on playing slip jigs, continue to develop some of the tonal variations learned initially in Bodhran II, and opportunity permitting, we will do some work with syncopation.
