Belinda McKeon, the award-winning author of Solace (2011) and IAC PoetryFest co-curator, launches her second novel, Tender, a searing novel of friendship, sexuality and obsession, set in 1990s Dublin at a time of dramatic social and political change. Published in 2015 in Ireland and the UK to glowing reviews, Tender has just been shortlisted for the Novel of the Year award at the Irish Book Awards and was a Book Expo America Buzz Book for 2015.

Belinda McKeon is the author of two novels, Tender (2012) and Solace (2011), which won the Faber Prize and was named Irish Book of the Year. She is also the editor of the short story anthology A Kind of Compass: Stories on Distance, just published by Tramp Press. Her essays and journalism have appeared in The New York Times, the Paris Review, the Guardian and elsewhere. She lives in Brooklyn and teaches at Rutgers University.
