Lunar Gala is the Chinese Students Club's annual culture show honoring the Chinese New Year. CSC has been preparing tirelessly for months, and we are SO excited to bring you an incredible show this year. Celebrate the New Year with a night of delicious food, dramatic performances, sophisticated fashion, and beautiful art. The theme of Lunar Gala 2016, Flux, is meant to bring attention to the fluidity and dynamism of Chinese culture and of Lunar Gala itself. Whether it be the intermingling of values from the East and West, or the rapid industrialization of the Chinese economy and the cultural evolution that has followed, China's growth has been electric and unpredictable, just as flux is. Given that flux can only occur given continuous change, we find the theme of Flux especially fitting for this year's Lunar Gala given how different it has been and will continue to be from other cultural shows on this campus as well as Lunar Galas of years past. The energy, intensity, and excitement that come hand in hand with such a degree of flux are what we hope will come together to make Lunar Gala 2016 such a compelling event.
