ABOUT MOONDRUNK
New York trio MOONDRUNK may be the only indie/folk/hip hop group on Earth. A love of intimate songwriting, theater and rap brought these three unique musicians together: Andrew Bancroft (vocals/guitar), Ashley Pérez Flanagan (vocals/percussion) and Yair Evnine (cello/beats). The three also perform musical theater, and their original musical Orpheus and Eurydice Are F*cking In Love debuted in the 2015 Ars Nova ANT Fest. This year is big for Broadway debuts, Evnine’s in Waitress and Flanagan’s in Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812. The group has collaborated with John Medeski and Bancroft performs in Freestyle Love Supreme with Hamilton’s Lin-Manuel Miranda. Moondrunk has performed at Carnegie Hall, Joe’s Pub and a variety of other venues from New York to California. Every Moondrunk show features an eclectic mix of original music, including an audience-inspired freestyle rap. Their debut album Lunacy is due Summer 2016. “Seriously funny dialogue and beautiful music… smart, young and creative.” (Stage Buddy)
