The cornerstone of the program features the music of guest composer Joel Puckett, in his monumental work for solo trumpet and wind ensemble that describes the journey of human life from birth to death. The program concludes with Joel Puckett’s Asimov’s Aviary, which conjures visions of the future of our society, specifically as it relates to robotics and the development of "micro-drones” begun by Isaac Asimov in 1974.
