SHORT FILMS=BIG FUN
Sunday, February 19, 2017 at 3:45PM

Buskirk-Chumley Theater
114 E. Kirkwood Ave.
Bloomington, IN 47408

The Oscar Short Film Festival at the Buskirk-Chumley Theater features the ten Oscar Nominated Short Films in the categories of Best Animation and Best Live-Action. This year’s assortment of short Oscar contenders is a celebration of intimate, personal storytelling -- a rich collection of stories, all of which have something profound to say, whether big and bold or small and modest. This is your chance to see the films before the Academy Awards ceremony.

2 OR 6:15 - Animated Film Screening (film descriptions)

3:45 - Live-Action Film Screening (film descriptions)

Please check the time above to ensure you have access to the correct screening. Choose a different time.

Doors will open 15 minutes prior to each screening and all seating is general admission. You can purchase tickets to an individual screening or purchase a pass to see both screenings at a lower price. Children six and younger can attend for free but require a ticket and content may not be appropriate for children. All ticket and pass prices will increase the day of the festival. Your Ryder Semester Pass cannot be used for screening at the BCT. Tickets for screenings not at the BCT cannot be purchased in advance.

The day will conclude with an 8pm screening of the Academy Award Nominee for Best Documentary Feature, Fire at Sea, an extraordinary, deeply moving story of refugees who have been flooding Lampedusa, a microscopic Mediterranean island between Sicily and Africa. This event requires a separate ticket. Click here to purchase.

This event is sponsored by: Lotus Education and Arts Foundation, Global Gifts, and Bloomington Symphony Orchestra.
