A complicated hero, Ned Kelly’s story is one of circumstance and necessity. Born to an Irish convict and an Irish immigrant, Ned Kelly was a young man of extreme intelligence and fierce convictions. Raised to question authority, he quickly made enemies and drew admirers. Stubborn, quick-witted and long-winded, Kelly stood up to the injustice of the Victorian police and became an outlaw. This new musical explores the lengths to which Kelly went to fight inequality and injustice and the lives of the family he left behind.
