A world premiere play commissioned by Howard Community College, Carroll Community College, and Prince George’s Community College, which features actors from all 3 colleges, In the Cotton is ripped from today’s headlines. The play revolves around a racial incident perpetrated on a college campus. As outrage grows, students and administrators take sides. Through this engaging and dynamic play, familiar conversations of race arise. What is a racist event? Who owns righteous indignation? When is protest necessary? HCC invites you to take part in the conversation.
