THE OTHER KIDS RAN AWAY by Maiken Wiese is a tale about a young woman’s sexual awakening and the discovery of the wild creatures lurk in the shadows. Maiken Wiese is an actress and playwright from the Pacific Northwest who has re-planted herself in Brooklyn. Her writing has been performed at the Shelter, Sticky!, Gotham Comedy Club and Manhattan Theater Source. Her short play, IN THE NINTH MONTH won the audience pick and was featured in the Encores week for the Estrogenius Festival 2011. Maiken received her BA in Drama from the University of Washington. She has acted at The Shelter, Ensemble Studio Theater, The Flea and Seattle Children’s Theater. Her acting film credits include “The Widowers” and “Awake.”
