"The Shape of Water" - Rated R. 123 minutes. "Creature From the Black Lagoon" - Rated G. 79 minutes.

“The Shape of Water,” from master storyteller Guillermo del Toro, is set against the backdrop of Cold War era America circa 1962. In the hidden high-security government laboratory where she works, lonely Elisa (Sally Hawkins) is trapped in a life of isolation. Elisa’s life is changed forever when she and co-worker Zelda (Octavia Spencer) discover a secret classified experiment.

“Creature From the Black Lagoon,” tells of ichthyologist Dr. David Reed (Richard Carlson) who leads a team of scientists on an expedition up the Amazon River to hunt for fossils linking prehistoric land and sea mammals. But the murky waters of the region’s Black Lagoon hide more than old bones; an amphibious gill-man rises from the depths to attack the researchers.
