Inhibited Bites is a revelatory, darkly-comedic performance built from a collection of more than a thousand index cards containing thoughts, observations, and reflections jotted down by artist Neil Goldberg over many years. For example: “Watching people enter a party, you can really see what they were like as kids.” The cards, projected large behind the artist, offer striking visual context for a performance that is alternately trenchant, hysterical, bleak, and exuberant. At Dixon Place Goldberg will use the cards as the basis for both an improvised monologue as well as expansive interviews with willing audience members and several special guests, including choreographer Miguel Gutierrez, artist Suzanne Bocanegra, and comedian Jacqueline Novak.

Tickets: $15 in advance, $18 at the door, $12 students / seniors / ID NYC in advance, $15 students / seniors / ID NYC at the door
