Classes Meet Monday through Friday, 9am-4pm (Performances for 2 week sessions are the second Saturday.)
NextStop's Summer Theatre Adventures are week-long theatre classes which follow a process-based curriculum to foster a life-long love of the performing arts. Each session is led and designed by highly experienced professional teaching artists, allowing students to explore every aspect of theatre week by week.
Let's Put On A Show: Midsummer (Grades 5th-9th) - June 18th-30th
Class Description:
Join with older students from the NextStop Summer Players to rehearse and perform a Shakespeare’s classic comedy! Our younger performers will featured as the mischievous fairies and other magic creatures that inhabit the forests outside of Athens! Students will get mini classes on acting, character development, who this Shakespeare guy really was, and we will rehearse to put on our very own production. Lead roles will be cast from upper grade students in the previous week. Little Adventurers will join the ensemble for the second week of rehearsals and all performances.
Final performances are on Saturday morning following the class.
