A staged reading of one-act play Dark Joy. A work described as possessing the claustrophobia of No Exit and the ugly antics of Who’s Afraid Of Virginia Woolf. Dark Joy is a two-character verbal slugfest that pits clever husband against quick-witted wife, and sets cunning wife on droll husband. The verbal volleys are passed back and forth between a couple who both love and despise each other. Each is caught in a bind in which it is only possible to reach the other by getting under the other’s skin.
