TimesTalks Art & Design Festival: David Rockwell and Isabel Toledo
Interviewed by Vanessa Friedman of The New York Times
Friday, May 18, 2018 at 4:00PM

The TimesCenter
242 West 41st Street
New York, NY 10018

Don’t miss this exciting opportunity to hear from the prolific architect and the Cuban-American fashion designer who share a seemingly boundless versatility. His Rockwell Group merges architecture, theater, craftsmanship and technology to create unique narratives for hotels, restaurants, performance spaces, work environments and Broadway productions. She earned worldwide acclaim for designing Michelle Obama’s Inauguration dress and matching overcoat and with her husband and frequent collaborator, the illustrator Ruben Toledo, designed new sets and costumes for the Miami City Ballet’s 2017 production of “The Nutcracker.” Hear Rockwell and Toledo discuss their passion for design, and their shared commitment to charitable causes such as DIFFA, with New York Times fashion director Vanessa Friedman.

In collaboration with NYCxDESIGN and sponsored by Grohe.
