DREW ANDERSON: READY FOR BED
------------------------------

Created & Performed by DREW ANDERSON
Directed by AYALA SKOPP
Composer & Accompanist FERNANDA DOUGLAS
Featuring MARCIA BELSKY & SAM TAGGART

-----------
ABOUT
-----------

Drew Anderson is gay/exhausted. Ready for Bed will take you on an intimate journey into the life and (very) minimal success of a young man who is ready to retire. Join Drew for a gorgeous evening of stand-up, film and music about Mandy Moore in old lady theater makeup. He will be joined by special guests Marcia Belsky and Sam Taggart, including an opening set with his ACTUAL grandma. Can you even imagine?

-----------
ABOUT THE ARTIST
-----------

DREW ANDERSON (Creator & Performer) is a comic/writer in Brooklyn. He has performed all around the country including the Out of Bounds Comedy Festival, Cinder Block Comedy Festival and the Crom Comedy Festival in Toronto. His writing has been featured on the NPR show Music&Stories and he is currently a contributing writer for Reductress and the popular party game Cards Against Humanity. You can catch him the last Tuesday of every month at STEVIE, a comedy show he co-hosts with faves Marcia Belsky & Sam Taggart at Our Wicked Lady in Bushwick. Drew is a cast member of the popular parody musical Handmaid’s Tale: The Musical, which has toured around the east coast. He is also a proud actor/director with the Story Pirates, an educational organization that performs hilarious stories written by kids. Many thanks to Ayala, Fernanda and Ina Garten.

AYALA SKOPP (Director) is a New York based writer and filmmaker with exquisite taste. She has written for Reductress and has done The Artist's Way twice (thank you). Ms. Skopp is thrilled to be directing the first solo show by a gay man in New York City. She would like to thank her arch enemy Drew Anderson for being her muse.

FERNANDA DOUGLAS (Composer/Accompaniment) is a composer and music director from Goleta, California, and a graduate of Columbia University. She is a member of the BMI Musical Theatre Workshop and her original musical, Plath., was part of the 2015 NY Fringe Festival. Fernanda works as an associate voice teacher with Liz Caplan Vocal Studios, and, in her free time, she's the associate producer of The Dream Unfinished, the NYC-based activism orchestra. Fernanda is delighted to be working with Drew outside of their usual project, Handmaid’s Tale: The Musical.
