Bloomington Symphony Orchestra Presents
A Thousand Words
Sunday, May 19, 2019 at 7:00PM
114 E. Kirkwood Ave.
Find out why a picture—or a piece of music—is worth a thousand words with the BSO’s performance of Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition. You’ll also hear BSO Artistic Director Alejandro Gómez Guillén perform Mozart’s Violin Concerto No. 4 in D Major with the orchestra and the premiere of Leigha Amick’s East of the Sun, West of the Moon, one of the winning pieces in the BSO’s 2018 Composition Competition.
The stage will be extended into the orchestra pit for this performance. Please note that lower balcony seats (indicated in orange on the seating chart) are considered to have an "obstructed view" and patrons in these seats may not be able to see the entire stage, including the conductor. Upper balcony seats offer better sight lines for this show.
Doors open at 6:30pm for this reserved seating show. The event is expected to last 90 minutes.
