Addressing Social Conflict in a Climate of Unrest
Ford Hall Forum 2018 and the Office of Advancement - Addressing Social Conflict in a Climate of Unrest
Thursday, November 29, 2018 at 6:00PM

Modern Theatre
525 Washington st
Boston, MA 02111

Conflict has created division and dissent at all levels of society - throughout history and continuing today - on a local, national, and global scale. Former classmates and Suffolk alumni, former Boston Police Commissioner William B. Evans, BS’82, and CEO and Founder of Beyond Conflict, Timothy Phillips, BS’83, HDHL’18, will draw on their collective experience in public service addressing social conflict, from Occupy Boston and the 2013 Boston Marathon terrorist bombing attack, to catalyzing peace and reconciliation in Northern Ireland, El Salvador, and South Africa. Evans and Phillips will share their experiences and reflections and will explore solutions to how our society can build trust and move forward in a climate of political, social, and civil unrest.
