Spend six weeks building up the feels. When you're doing a scene, no one cares that your wine is "divine" or even that the house is on fire. Those are just the circumstances of the scene. The audience just cares about your reaction, and what that says about you.

Immediate agreement to what's happening will get you off the ground. Knowing what your character cares about will allow you to fly.

In this class students will explore different tactics to short-cut to clear and compelling emotional play at the root of your scenes. Game and pattern can get lots of laughs. Game and pattern grounded in authentic emotion can get not only more laughs, but deeper reactions as well.
