June 2, 2019 is Marvin Hamlisch’s 75th birthday. Marvin was an extraordinary award-winning Jewish composer with an astounding career. He wrote for film, Broadway, television, and is one of two individuals to win the PEGOT: a Pulitzer Prize, an Emmy, Grammy, Academy(Oscar), and Tony Awards for their life work. He wrote the musicals A Chorus Line and They’re Playing Our Song, songs for The Way We Were, The Spy Who Loves Me, Sophie’s Choice, and Ice Castles.
