The story of a Macedonian beekeeper, an amazing glimpse into a forgotten world. Honeyland is “as astonishing — as sublime and strange and full of human and natural beauty — as anything I’ve ever seen in a movie. It reminded me of The Lorax, Dr. Seuss’s great, prescient tale of ecological folly. – A. O. Scott, The New York Times (72 min.)
Doors will open 15-20 minutes in advance for this general admission event.
*ALSO SCREENING ON NOVEMBER 10 AND INCLUDED IN YOUR RYDER ALL DAY PASS PURCHASE:*
Children's International Film Fest (2pm) A wonderful collection of short films from around the world for the young and the young-at-heart. This screening will consist of two programs separated by a 15-minute intermission. The first set of films is aimed at children ages 3-7 (starts at 2pm, 60 minutes) and the second is aimed at ages 8-80 (starts at 3:15, 72 minutes). One ticket admits you into both programs, but you can feel free to attend only one half if you prefer. If you do not wish to purchase a day pass, purchase a ticket to Children's International Film Fest alone by clicking the film title.
Los Reyes (The Kings) (7:15) takes place at the oldest skate park in Santiago, Chile, and was intended to feature the teenagers who congregate there regularly. But over the course of roughly two years, the filmmakers discovered that while the skaters came and went, there were two characters that always seemed to be hanging about: a pair of stray dogs. (88 min.) If you do not wish to buy a day pass, purchase a ticket to Los Reyes (The Kings) alone by clicking the film title.
