Our production of The Nutcracker is appropriate especially at holiday time. It tells the story of Clara, a young girl on the brink of womanhood who's dreams are both childlike and tinged with romance. She is the favorite godchild of Herr Drosselmeyer, a mysterious clockmaker, who helps to transport Clara and her Nutcracker Prince to a special realm. It is one hour long, fully narrated, includes all the ethnic dances in Act 2 and uses the traditional Tchaikovsky score.
