House party and opera rave, presented by students and faculty of the Frost Opera Theater!

Curious about opera at the University of Miami? Join us for an informal house party and opera rave that showcases first year students through graduate level doctoral students practicing their art. You’ll be welcomed by recordings of techno-pop aria treatments, followed by fast-paced student and faculty performances of arias in concert with piano. Voice faculty performers include Esther Jane Hardenbergh, Susan Williams, and Alan Johnson. We’ll also be joined by faculty flutist Trudy Kane in performance along with anecdotes from her thirty-two year career with the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra in New York City.
