BRIDEZILLA STRIKES BACK! chronicles stage actress Cynthia Silver’s naïve foray into the unreal world of Reality TV, as well as her struggles in navigating the mercenary New York bridal industry. In 2002, Silver allowed a British camera crew to film the preparations for her lavish wedding for what she was told would be a documentary series called "Manhattan Brides." Silver was shocked to discover that the footage had been sold to FOX and WE and turned into a reality TV show tellingly called "Bridezillas." Suddenly an unwitting traveler in a demoralizing landscape, Silver found herself mocked on TV and pilloried in the press and chat rooms, her wedding ridiculed in re-runs and countless promos. And now it is her turn to strike back and set the record straight! Co-written by Kenny Finkle & directed by Paul Urciolit, his cautionary tale was awarded Outstanding Solo Show at the 2005 New York International Fringe Festival.
