Margarita Pracatan, the one-of-a-kind “eager beaver diva with the unconstricted boa” returns to the New York stage for a mind-blowing evening of song and unconventional wisdom in this world premiere production. With her thick accent and slippery grasp of the English language, this camp Cuban chanteuse and international starlet has been wowing audiences for decades with her devastatingly unique renditions of Broadway standards and club favorites by ABBA, Boy George, and Britney Spears. In Stranger in the Night, she’ll also confront current pop hits by Katy Perry, Rihanna, Lady Gaga, and Maroon 5, as she offers insight on how to be happy, find true love, stay beautiful, have amazing sex, and live royally in NYC with a mere $10 in your bank account. Armed with her portable electronic Yamaha keyboard and a Powerpoint presentation she prepared at the public library, she’s on a mission to change your life one pop song at a time. Even if she seldom finds the right key, lands on the right note, or remembers the beat, she’s destined to accomplish her goal, because she lubs you, baby, from the bottom of her heart!
