Newly arrived in Paris, young Dorante meets two lovely women, Clarice and Lucrece, in the Tuileries. But while falsely boasting of his military prowess, the truth-challenged Dorante falls hopelessly under the alluring spell of Clarice. Ah, but the joke’s on him – for he believes Clarice to be Lucrece, and sets about wooing the wrong woman! The ensuing web of lies and confusion that entangle the braggadocio Dorante will leave you laughing till you cry! Richard Wilbur’s sparkling translation of The Liar is, to put it bluntly, just good naughty fun! Featuring the talents of:Tara Lynn Barr, Janine Barris, Sue Cremin, Danny Mann, Christopher Neame, Kate Steele, John Sloan, Mark Sullivan, Matt Wolf. Directed by Martin Jarvis
