Tabla superstar Zakir Hussain, India’s most celebrated living artist and an extraordinary percussionist of international renown, will be joined for this evening of Indian classical music by bansuri flute prodigy Rakesh Chaurasia, a nephew of maestro Pt. Hariprasad Chaurasia. Widely regarded as one of the world’s greatest percussionists, Zakir is known equally for his mastery of theclassical Hindustani repertoire of ragas as for his historic collaborations with Shakti with John McLaughlin and L.
