A program of two back-to-back world premieres of new music by Steinway Artist Dan Knight, inspired by the visual art of Vassily Kandinsky and Jackson Pollock. The first half of the program will be Dan Knight's composition, "The Kandinsky Suite," inspired by Kandinsky's early landscapes and his own "improvisations". Kandinsky's landscapes are evocative and exciting, rich in color and texture. The music is sonorous and vibrant, full of the colors of Kandinsky's work. The second half of the program is inspired by Jackson Pollock's "Mural," with daring, original music composed and performed by Dan Knight.
