13CU1: The Truth about Molly
Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at 7:00PM

Roone Arledge Cinema
Lerner Hall
New York, NY 10027

We will show a short video regarding the many references to Molly in urban culture and follow with a discussion from a distinguished panel. Q&A session to follow. Confirmed panelists:

• Stefanie Jones from The Drug Policy Alliance
• Dr. R. L'Heureux Lewis-McCoy, a Professor at City College of New York who wrote an article about Molly Madness in Ebony Magazine
• Brittany Lewis from Global Grind
• Dr. Carl Hart, Professor at Columbia University who is featured in the critically acclaimed film "The House I Live In"

This will be an open and honest discussion to dispel myths, present real facts on the drug, and to give students a chance to ask questions as they've undoubtedly heard a song or been to a party where Molly showed up. We also do not want Molly to become the new crack with draconian drug laws and another engine for mass incarceration. Tweet your questions to @ColumbiaSSDP with the hashtag #MollyTruth!
