One of Shakespeare's last plays, Cymbeline is a fairy tale romance. Princess Imogen becomes a prisoner in her own castle when her father, King Cymbeline, discovers that she has secretly married the low-born Posthumous. When Posthumous is banished from Britain, Imogen escapes from the castle and sets out to find her love in the mysterious forests of Britain, where she encounters mistaken identity, war, and strange potions. In Endstation's production, using the art of imagination, a troupe of Depression-era actors bring Shakespeare's fairy tale world to vivid life with nothing but the clothes on their backs and whatever possessions they have left. This will be a night of incredible theatrical magic, whether on the Sweet Briar campus, at Old City Cemetery, at Poplar Forest, or at Presbyterian Homes and Family Services and the Family Alliance.
