inspired by true events

This is not your typical Holocaust story. Gombin, Poland, 1939: Heeding the advice of a dream, a newleywed couple, Bella and Raymond, leave their home with no known destination. Starting a family while on the run they find themselves traversing thousands of miles in settings as disparate as a Siberian gulag and the deserts of Uzbekistan and encountering Eskimos, Gypsies, prisoners and refugees during one of the greatest population displacements in human history. The play juxtaposes scenes from their incredible journey with the present day experiences of their grown son, Ronny who, in the parking lot of a supermarket, faces off with a threat he thought long gone.
