Meet the Manhattan Piano Trio, an electrifying chamber group that performs an astonishing array of repertoire ranging from the tradition to contemporary. Based in New York, they are recent Grand Prize winners of leading chamber music competitions (Yellow Springs and Plowman). Hailed by critics as “a grand departure from the usual” (News Herald), the Manhattan Piano Trio has quickly become one of the most creative, exciting, and dynamic young ensembles in the United States. Works by award-winning faculty composers will be featured at this concert including Glisten by Lansing McLoskey, Jerusalem Windows by Dorothy Hindman, and Three Legged Race by Charles Norman Mason, alongside standard piano trio repertory.
