The Frost Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Colombian born associate conductor and doctoral candidate Andrés Jaime, performs three powerful and dramatic works to bring the first half of their season to a climactic conclusion: Dvorak's Symphony No. 7 Op. 70 in D minor; American composer Howard Hanson's Symphony No. 5 “Sinfonia Sacra,” Op. 43 and the U.S. Premiere of Los Colores (The Colors) by Colombian composer Andrés Posada. Andrés Jaime has conducted the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, Texas Christian University Symphony Orchestra and the Broward Symphony in the United States, as well as the Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional de Colombia, Orquesta Filarmónica de Bogotá, and Orquesta Sinfónica EAFIT, in Colombia.
