Project Nur at Columbia University is hosting a multi-speaker panel featuring Imam Zaid Shakir, Sister Asma Hanif, and Imam Khalid Latif exploring the relationship between the struggle against injustice within the self and injustice in broader society. How do we translate the internal anger and frustration we have about poverty and inequality into tangible forces of action to benefit our communities? All proceeds will benefit Muslimat Al-Nisaa, a non-profit organization established to provide culturally sensitive health, education and social services to Muslim community women and children.
