Take the C or E train to 50th St (8th Ave); the 1 train to 50th St (Broadway); or the N, R, or Q train to 49th St (7th Ave). Walk west towards 10th Ave. It is roughly a 10 minute walk. A parking garage is located on W. 51st between 10th and 11th Ave.

For Intermediate level language students and up.

Students will analyise both Irish language poetry and English translations from renowned Irish poets including Seán Ó Ríordáin, Máirtín Ó Direáin, Nuala Ní Dhomhnaill, Louis De Paor, Gearóid MacLochlainn and Colm Breathnach amongst others. A background and outline will be given of the Modern Irish Language Poetry Movement INNTI and the development of Irish language poetry from the first generation of modern Irish poets writing in the 1950s and onwards. The art of poetry translation will also feature in this class.

This course is aimed at intermediate to advanced students. Course materials will be provided.
