South Florida Classical Review describes Gary Green’s contribution to the Frost School of Music as “indispensible.” This presentation, featuring the Frost Wind Ensemble, is a great example of his inspiring leadership. Selections include colorful works for wind band including Florent Schmitt’s Dionysiaques and Michael Colgrass’s Arctic Dreams, plus Anthony Barfield’s lyrical Red Sky, featuring Frost trombone faculty artist Tim Conner. In addition, doctoral conducting candidate Michael Hancock leads the wind ensemble in Leonard Bernstein’s effervescent Prelude, Fugue and Riffs!
