This three-day workshop will introduce the novice to printmaking while providing opportunities for seasoned printmakers to explore non-toxic materials for creating monotypes. Monotype printmaking involves the creation of one-of-a-kind prints using painting, drawing and stencil techniques with a sheet of plexiglass as the printing plate. Students will be introduced to registration, and printing in layers employing additive and subtractive techniques with soy and honey based Akua inks. This workshop is for all levels of artistes interested in making prints using safer and greener methods.
