A new series presenting the first books by Irish and Irish American poets and novelists who will shape the future literary landscape.

Eimear McBride's "A Girl Is A Half-formed Thing" tells the story of a young woman's complex relationship with her family and her struggle to stay intact in the face of trauma. Capturing the space between thought and language, McBride creates an extraordinary intimacy with the reader, offering a plunge into the thoughts, feelings, and chaotic sexuality of a vulnerable and isolated protagonist.
