This dynamic concert starts with master’s candidate Angelyn Traylor conducting the sonically rich joyRIDE by Michael Markowski. It then moves through a kaleidoscope of musical moods ranging from Southern Harmony by Donald Grantham; Alchemy in Silent Spaces (I. The Logic of All My Dreams) by Steven Bryant; and The Three Embraces by Carter Pann, all conducted by doctoral candidate Timothy Shade. The concert closes with the extraordinary Symphony No. 6 (“Symphony for Band”) by Vincent Persichetti, conducted by director of bands, Gary Green.
