Frost student competition finalists perform as soloists with the Frost Symphony Orchestra in this annual tradition. For this year’s highly anticipated concert, percussionist Dmitrii Nilov performs the challenging Marimba Concerto No. 1 by Emmanuel Séjourné, and mezzo-soprano Jenna Lee Moore sings the dramatic song cycle Statuesque by Jake Heggie (best known for his works Moby-Dick and Dead Man Walking). The program concludes with the world premiere of Ceiba Pentandra (“Kapok Tree”) by composition student finalist Ben Morris.
